Becoming a Member:

   Everyone is welcome to attend Okinawa JALT's local chapter meetings, (but members are exempted from entrance fees). Annual membership dues can be paid at any local chapter meeting. Individuals living in outlying islands and others who are unable to attend regular chapter meetings may pay by (snail) mail or bank transfer. Contact our membership chair for details.

Membership Types:
  1. Regular membership (¥10,000): includes membership in a local chapter, and a subscription to JALT publications
  2. Student membership (¥6,000): same privledges as above, but at a reduced rate (available only to undergraduate and graduate level students at colleges and universities in Japan)
  3. Joint membership (¥17,000): available to individuals sharing the same mailing address (only one copy of each publication will be sent to the specified address)
  4. Group membership (¥6,500/person): available to five or more people employed at the same institution (only one copy of each publication will be sent per 5 people)
   JALT members are also eligible to join any of JALTs SIGs at the very nominal rate of ¥1,500/SIG per year (A complete list of SIGs is available on the About Us page.)


Membership Renewal:

   All members should renew their membership through the local Okinawa JALT Chapter office. This can be done in person at any local chapter meeting, by mail, or by bank transfer.
